Experience

Three roles.
One trajectory.

Understanding a project’s background, objectives and parameters is the key to success — it inspires the idea and informs how it rolls out.

  1. 2017 — 2026

    Creative Director

    Y2AD — Impact BBDO · Damascus

Led creative teams through strategy, concept and execution. Turned marketing objectives into campaigns that moved conversion and reach — while mentoring the team that delivered them.

  2. 2013 — 2017

Art Studio Manager · Senior Web Developer

    Larsa Information Technology · Dubai

Ran the studio day to day and set creative direction. Led front-end and back-end delivery, and guided the development team through overlapping deadlines.

  3. 2009 — 2013

    Web Administrator

    SIPC Syria Ltd · Damascus

Owned the company’s web infrastructure — sites, applications, CMS platforms, security and data privacy — plus visual content for marketing.

What I bring

Writer first

Copy, scripts, slogans — and song lyrics. I write poetry; the campaigns are where it earns its keep.

Engineering depth

Front-end and back-end, CMS, web security. I build what I design.

Creative direction

Concepts, strategy and visual storytelling that never lose the brief.

AI fluency

Image, video and workflow tooling used as craft, not novelty.

Team leadership

Cross-functional teams kept in one conversation from brief to rollout.

Bilingual delivery

Writing and presenting in Arabic and English, regional and global accounts.

Lyrics & melody
“And the intention is all good.”

For the agency’s 24th year I wrote the lyrics and composed the melody — written as a song, then produced as a film.

A track record of collaboration

Global brands. Governments. UN agencies.

From national events and ministries to UNICEF field campaigns — and global names like Samsung, Huawei, Pepsi, Persil, LaLiga and beIN Sports, across Syria, Iraq, the Gulf and beyond.

Client logos: Oxfam, UNICEF, Huawei, Zain, Samsung, Nokia, Dew Tour, Lenovo, Persil, Pepsi, Pril, Hana, Madar, Emaar, Beko, beIN Sports, LaLiga, Evvoli, Arab Development Portal, Ferrero Rocher, PediaSure, KFC, SYNC, Damascus International Fair, Syrian National Dialogue Conference, Ministry of Economy and Industry, Central Bank of Syria, Syrian American Medical Society, Syrian American Alliance for Peace and Prosperity, Startup Syria, Tecore Networks, Nahda Tech, Technivision, Ministry of Finance, UNMAS, FAO, UNFPA, UNDP

Creative Campaigns

National launches, seven years on one FMCG brand, anniversary campaigns — and the concepts that didn’t run but still hold up.

Campaign · National launch

Central Bank of Syria

New Syrian currency · launch campaign · outdoor

One line. Two meanings. A whole country in it.

“The lira is ours.
We made it —
and it’s our currency.”

In Arabic, “we made it” and “our currency” grow from the same root word, so the line hands the new lira back to the people who will carry it. Each board sets it against the engraved detail of the notes themselves — wheat, cotton, blossom.

FMCG · Seven years, one brand

Hana Foods

Social · TVC · Ramadan · Syria, USA, global

Seven years on one brand. Same name — a new sentence every season.

Social for Syria, the USA and global markets; Ramadan films cut as two editions rather than one dub; Hana Farms juice, where the name became the instruction — “Stay with Hana, stay natural”; and an AI campaign for the mortadella line’s fortieth year.

Ramadan concept · pitched, not adopted

Always here. Always Hana.

In Arabic, “here” and “Hana” are written with the same letters — one vowel apart. Same letters; one vowel moves, and the brand moves into every home.

MABCO — 25 years

Anniversary campaign · logo update · social system

Twenty-five years old. Built for what comes next.

“25 years — and still moving forward.”

A 25-year-old mark with hard corners and a single flat colour, softened into a blue gradient, a modern cornerless type and the founding year set beneath. Around it, a campaign placing the brand in the rebuilding of the new Syria, and seven social templates: dark, light, multi-colour, white, minimal, information-heavy and product-first. Each one has a curve at the base that holds the price.

TVC concept · Pitched, not adopted

LC Waikiki

Market-entry teaser · storyboard · Syria

Don’t announce the store. Announce the weight.

An empty white hall, one woman on a chair, and a line that raises the stakes each beat. Racks roll in, crews build around her, the name arrives on the wall — and only then: “What’s coming is a giant.”

Then the follow-up lines, each one a door into a different audience:

Everyone deserves something newWe dress everyoneFashion isn’t for the fewYour fit wins

Films & TV commercials

Written, art directed, shot, edited and supervised — including the slogans that outlived the spots. Tap any still to play.

UNICEF · UNMAS · explosive ordnance awareness

Stay a hero.

Four films. Four people who could be you. A girl, a boy, a young woman, a man who already carries an injury — each wearing the same cape.

The last one is the argument: the hero isn’t the person who escaped harm, but the person who warns the next one.

AI video production

Films made with AI. Held to broadcast standard.

Characters, environments, camera moves and voice — generated, directed and cut as real productions for real clients, not demos. From UNICEF campaign films to FMCG launches and real-estate spots.

Visual Identities

Identity work where the thinking carries the mark — naming, systems, rollout and the launch film, from the same hands.

Branding · National event

Damascus International Fair

62nd edition · full visual identity

A national event, rebuilt from the mark out.

Identity, colour system, typography and the full rollout across billboards, posters and environmental applications — plus the launch films.

SYNC — Silicon Valley + Syria

Master brand · 23-page guideline · prepared by Y2AD

Not a logo. A system that names its own future.

One brand icon, built to stretch: country chapters for Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Kuwait; a conference mark that carries the year — ’26, ’27, ’28 and on; sponsorship lockups; and a sub-family for training, bootcamps and internships. Colour, type in Latin and Arabic, iconography and print, all documented.

SYNC ’25 II

Syria’s tech conference · Damascus

The II isn’t a version number — it’s the point.

A second edition earns its own mark. Deep green and gold, and a map of Syria drawn as circuitry — one motif carried across badges, apparel, roll-ups, print and every social post. “Let TECH lead” runs through all of it.

Madar Group

Rebrand · brand guideline · 50th-anniversary film

Fifty years in, a mark built to carry the next fifty.

A full rebrand for Madar — bilingual signature, brandmark, primary and secondary colour systems — rolled out across fleet, merchandise, stationery and print, and documented in a complete brand guideline.

For the fiftieth year: a gold anniversary mark — “A continuous journey of giving” — and an AI film premiering at the celebration.

mySyria

The mark — and the system that grew from it

A smile hidden under the “my”.

I designed the mark: one curve beneath “my” that reads as a smile and a path at once. The brand system was built on top of it — vans, storefront, uniforms, stadium screens — and that single curve carries every one of them.

“A better life, the easier way.”

Capital Partners Corp

Dubai · DIFC · DFSA-regulated

Trust, drawn rather than claimed.

A mark that reads as old money without reading as old. The winged horse sits in a gold frame; midnight navy, olive and gold carry it across stationery, signage and screen. Started with the logo, ended with the site.

Identity · Cosmetic dental clinic

Dentique

Damascus

The N is a tooth. That’s the whole logo.

A double arc above it reads as a smile, so the mark works at signage scale and pen scale without a second version. Clinical green, not pharmacy green — a clinic you’d choose, not one you’d be sent to.

Syriatel rebrand

Telecom · rebrand exploration

Two rivers, one cable, and the people standing on it.

The compound name splits the way the country is split — the Tigris and the Euphrates — meeting at a join drawn as a cable coupling. The dots in the Arabic letterforms become people, standing on the river of connection. Included because the thinking stands on its own.

Naming · Foundation

HADF

Naming · identity · web · film

A long, formal name became one Arabic word: purpose.

The mark holds both scripts in one block — the Arabic “d” and the Latin A share the same space. The bridge reads the mission: relief and development, one side to the other.

TaskWave

Business management system · web app · Arabic & English

Run the whole company from one screen — even from outside the office.

Nine years running a creative studio taught me one thing: communication is the number-one source of work problems. TaskWave replaces the notebook, the Excel sheet and the WhatsApp group with one system — clients, projects, tasks, invoicing, leave, reports and a client portal.

Its AI assistant doesn’t just answer: it acts. Ask it to create a task, move a project or pull an invoice summary, and it does — every action logged. Self-hosted on the client’s own server, because their data should stay theirs.

The whole kindergarten, out of the drawer and into one place.

Children and guardians, school-bus routes and stops, yearly fees, documents and a photo archive for every child. Payments issue numbered receipts ready to print, and every action is logged. The school’s own colours run through the whole interface, set from one settings screen.

Built for directors and class teachers, not accountants — clear screens, few taps, designed to work on a phone as well as the office PC.
